i²score

A letter from a competitor questions the origin of your design and you or your solicitor/attorney need to respond. For alleged infringement of a design many criteria of multiple design features need to be assessed. The i²score-chart is an assessment tool which provides a 1 page overview of the criteria against the features.

Patentcheck collates the infringement impact score [= i²score] of each relevant design feature on the overall impression on the design. The criteria per feature that could be involved are for example; function, design registration, patents, standards, visibility, market dilution, etc.

Subsequently the i²score-chart guides the IP professional for drafting their respons. It highlights the strengths and weaknesses of possible lines of argumentation.
